Good afternoon,
In one of the weirdest and most eventful months on record for Delaware, a blend of destructive weather and the presidential nomination of Joe Biden dominated the list of most-read stories in Delaware Business Now.
In August, Tropical Storm Isaias hammered the state with flooding and tornadoes including one that damaged trees, snapped utility poles and damaged houses along a 29-mile path. A later storm did similar damage on the northern edge of the state. Clean-up efforts continue.
In the meantime, the spotlight was on Wilmington as former Vice President Joe Biden selected Kamala Harris as his vice-presidential running-mate.
The largely virtual Democratic National Convention pretty-much ended up being in Wilmington, rather than Milwaukee, with fireworks along the riverfront concluding the event.
Coronavirus remained a big story as Delawareans look for signs of lower infection rates.
