Delaware could see severe weather on Wedneday

The National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly is forecasting severe weather on Wednesday in Delaware.

The state could see  heavy rain, flooding, and strong to severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds,

Tornadoes as possible in parts of the state. 

Rain will continue through Wednesday nigh.  The ground is saturated from rain that began early this week.

Additional rainfall of one to three inches is expected.

Minor to moderate river flooding, urban and small stream flooding, and minor to moderate coastal flooding is possible. Water on roads, beach erosion, and breaching of sand dunes are possible. 

The Indian River Inlet area saw a dune breach early this week.
