Phish Mondegreen festival ticket prices announced

More details have been released on the Phish festival planned for August at The Woodlands in the Dover Motor Speedway. complex.

Known as Modegreen, the festival will run from Aug. 15 to 18.

Mondegreen refers to the mishearing of a song lyric, an example being the Jimmy Hendrix lyric Scuse me while I kiss this guy” instead of “Scuse me why I kiss the sky.”

Other details, including bands and food have not been announced.

Passes go on sale Friday, January 19 at 11 a.m. Travel Packages go on sale Thursday, January 18 at 11 a.m. The Woodlands area, used during Dover’s one NASCAR race weekend, has camping sites and RV hook-ups that were a part of the Firefly Festival.

The festival from the popular Vermont with a following akin to the “Dead Heads” at Grateful Dead concerts, comes as the annual Firefly Music Festival takes a year off. The future of the multi-day event remains unclear.

Despite not finding their way to Top 40, Phish has made its way into popular culture, with sold out concerts, a Simpson’s appearance, and a best-sellling ice cream offering from Vermont-based Ben and Jerry’s carrying their name.

Ticket prices for the four days start at $450 to about $3,000. Click here for further details.
