Harvey Hanna buys Rehoboth’s Crosswinds Motel

Harvey, Hanna & Associates, Inc. has purchased the Crosswinds Motel at 312 Rehoboth Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. Terms were not disclosed.

The 23-room Crosswinds Motel opened in 1998. Harvey Hanna will renovate the property. It’s the second project in Rehoboth for Harvey Hanna, which did a makeover of the former Sand Castle Motel, now a boutique hotel branded as Coast Rehoboth Beach, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

Crosswinds will be operated by TKo Hospitality Management, an affiliate of Harvey Hanna. With the addition of Crosswinds, hospitality properties will operate under the TKo umbrella, which includes Hyatt Place Dewey Beach, Hyatt House Lewes Rehoboth Beach, Hyatt Place Kent Narrows & Marina, and the Rehoboth properties.

Rehoboth is seeing a hotel boom fueled by new properties and renovations of exiting sites.

Harvey Hanna, a real estate development company, is based in Newport.
