The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office has determined that this evening’s fire at a New Castle area tow yard was arson.
The Holloway Terrace Fire Company was dispatched and found several vehicles on fire just after 6:30 pm inside the tow yard at CPG Citgo at 2036 New Castle Avenue. Firefighters arrived on the scene with multiple vehicles engulfed in flames.
Deputy fire marshals were called to the scene and determined the vehicles were deliberately set ablaze. Fire damage was estimated at $30,000. Four vehicles were burned. No one was injured.
