Dover Federal Credit Union has opened branches at Dover Air Force Base and the Dove Run Shopping Center in Middletown.

The new on-base branch replaces a previous site  on the base.

The credit union has its roots in serving military families at the base, but has since added branches outside the gates.

Dover  has seven branches in an area extending from New Castle to Milford. Assets are $460 million.

Membership is open to current and retired members of the military and their families  as well as about 400 employment groups in Delaware.
