For 15 years, MySherpa has been a trusted guide for managed IT services, helping businesses and other organizations reach peak performance.

“If I had to describe MySherpa in two words it would be ‘problem solvers,’” says Megan McGlinchey, director of operations at the Riverfront Development Corporation in Wilmington. “We have had very complex issues to resolve and they always find a solution. There’s no mountain too high for them to climb.”

Greg Gurev, founder and head Sherpa, says MySherpa’s comprehensive outsource services empower clients to focus on their core businesses instead of an avalanche of IT issues.

“When leaders of organizations ask us if they can use technology to help them climb to new heights, our job is to guide the way,” he says. “Our mission is to provide the ultimate computer services. We help clients to grow, as well as reduce their risk exposure.”

An industry trailblazer, MySherpa is a lifeline for small- to mid-size businesses and non-profits, providing services for a fraction of the cost of an in-house IT staff.

Sarah Willoughby, director of the Greater Wilmington Convention and Visitors Bureau, appreciates MySherpa’s accessible staff and responsive help desk on an ongoing basis. MySherpa also has helped the GWCVB to achieve its long-term goals.

“They have accommodated our growing needs, including a whole new database platform six years ago,” she says. “They were not only a great partner with us on that project, they partnered with our vendor to ensure a seamless transition.”

As experienced guides, Sherpas help clients to thrive in volatile business climates. In 11 years as partners in prosperity, Jamestown Painting of Newark, Del., has grown to encompass such diverse enterprises as a construction company, a specialty finishes firm, youth athletics and a restaurant.

“MySherpa has been by our side the entire time,” says Joe Pendrak, Jamestown CFO. “It’s a healthy and valued relationship, in which they take a true interest in our businesses and are proactive in finding ways to make our systems more secure and efficient.”

Doug MacGray, a founder of Compass-Ion Advisors, a Conshohocken, Pa.-based wealth management firm, hired MySherpa to move the fledgling startup into their first office in 2008.

“They have been with us ever since,” he says. “Last year, MySherpa moved us into a larger office space, as we’ve grown from eight to 26 people.”

MySherpa has been growing along with its clients. Gurev founded the company in 2001, intent on creating a model that integrates technology with business operations. To help clients scale the Mount Everest of a competitive marketplace, MySherpa emphasizes problem ownership, strategic planning and accountability.

Today, the company employs 19 Sherpas at its basecamp in Wilmington, where panoramic photographs of Sir Edmund Hillary, seasoned Sherpa guide Tenzing Norgay and the soaring summits of Nepal inspire colleagues to reach their personal peak performance.

In 2014, MySherpa was named a Superstar in Business by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. The company has experienced double-digit growth for each of the past five years.

“We are succeeding because our clients are succeeding,” Gurev says. “At MySherpa, we’re focused on keeping businesses on the right path so they can attain new heights.”
