A start-up company in Delaware is moving its headquarters to Colorado.
Lightwave Logic will maintain a five-employee lab in Delaware, according to the Boulder County Business Report.
The company will lease space in Longmont, Colo. Cited as the reason for the move was the company’s work with a University of Colorado scientist on materials for fiber-optic communications.
The Delaware and Colorado sites will each employ about five.
While the employment loss is small, the decision is a blow to Delaware, which wants to nurture early stage companies with the potential to become larger employers.
