[Not a valid template]The Delaware Office of Highway Safety is taking to the roads in a holiday safety campaign.

The campaign  will be known  as  “Safe Family Holiday and will carry the theme –  “It’s the most dangerous time of the year.”  The Centerpiece of the effort   Safe Family Holiday-branded cars is being done in partnership with Carvertise,  a Wilmington-based mobile messaging company.

The campaign was unveiled on Friday, with officers from various police departments in northern Delaware unveiling the signage on a number of cars.

The event was held at Carcierge, New Castle, a secure storage facility for rare and exotic automobiles. The Wilmington  advertising firm of ab+c provided creative services.

The event came as three pedestrians died  on Delaware roads.

The cars will be driven in areas where crashes,  especially  fatal crashes, have occurred throughout Delaware.  With the help of  Carvertise’s patent-pending algorithm,  the  message will be seen daily by thousands in the targeted area.

“By adding this one additional and important element to our traditional campaign we can be assured that almost everyone on Delaware roads will see our message,” said Jana Simpler, Director of OHS. “Twenty campaign-branded cars will be circulating the state with OHS’ message of “It’s the most dangerous time of the year” with four different driving concerns. Our previous campaigns with Carvertise have proven very successful and we are excited to get this campaign “on the road” – pun intended!”

Mac Nagaswami founder  and co-partner of Carvertise, said,  “We start by understanding the specific geographic location where our client needs exposure. Using our algorithm, we pair our partnering brand, in this case, OHS, with Carvertisers (drivers) who drive in that targeted area.
