A man from Bear has been charged with aggravating menacing at a News Journal distribution center.
The man was identified as Yonghua Xu, 43.
In the late morning of April 17, Delaware State Police were called to a reported aggravated menacing at the News Journal Company, 139 Rickey Boulevard in Bear.
Troopers were told Xu, and the individual worked in the same shopping center area and had conflicts in the past.
Troopers stated that Xu blocked the individual’s vehicle with his van as the person was trying to leave a parking space.
The individual got out of his vehicle to confront Xu and saw Xu holding an unfolded pocketknife. The individual backed away as Xu got out of his vehicle and walked towards the victim with the knife in his hand. Xu then returned to his van and left.
A short time later, Xu returned to the parking lot while troopers were at the scene and was taken into custody without incident.
Xu was taken to Troop 2, where he was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and released after posting a $66,000 cash bond.
