Middletown travel agency owner charged with using customer credit cards for personal purchases

Delaware State Police arrested Jane Fencer, 55,  of Townsend, for making fraudulent credit card purchases through her Middletown-based travel agency, Wanderlust Tours and Travel.

On January 26, troopers received a report of multiple unauthorized credit card purchases made through Wanderlust Tours and Travel at 717 South Cox Street in Middletown.

Troopers learned that in December 2023, Fencer allegedly used a former customer’s credit card for over $19,000 worth of unauthorized purchases. During the investigation, Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Detectives learned that former customers of Fencer’s travel agency reported unauthorized purchases made by Fencer on their credit cards. Detectives obtained a warrant for Fencer’s arrest.

Fencer turned herself in at Troop 2 in Bear.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this incident.
