A Wilmington man and former Tower Hill School employee has been sentenced by a Superior Court judge for five charges arising from a child pornography investigation.

William Ushler, 54, was previously arrested and charged following the state investigation.

At the time of indictment, Ushler was charged with seven felony charges relating to child pornography and sexual solicitation of children.

Ushler ultimately pleaded guilty to one count of Dealing in Child Pornography (a Class B Violent Felony) and four counts of Sexual Solicitation of a Child (a Class C Violent Felony).

The State has no information to suggest that any of Ushler’s five known victims are Tower Hill students or Delaware residents.

The defendant faced a minimum mandatory sentence of two years in prison for the Dealing in Child Pornography conviction. At sentencing, the state pressed for 15 years. Ushler was sentenced to 9 years in prison, followed by 10 years of probation.
