Due to an improvement in the Air Quality Index, the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles reopened cash booths at the toll plazas as of 4:45 pm on Thursday. On Friday morning, all DMV inspection lanes and other services were slated to be in operation.

Fines were waived during that period.

On Wednesday, cash booths and DMV inspection lanes were closed due to pollution from Canadian wildfires.

Residents can continue to check the air quality for the coming days and sign up for air quality alerts at de.gov/aqi

DMV will continue to monitor the forecast and determine if changes are needed.
