President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden returned to Delaware Friday night after a trip to Canada and flew back to the White House on Saturday night.

The President addressed the Canadian Parliament, citing the strength of the relationship between the two nations. The visit included a state dinner and press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

It marked Biden’s first visit to Canada during his over two years as president.

The two government announced a northern border agreement that allows both countries to turn away asylum seekers who have entered the nations illegally.

The President and First Lady flew back to Wilmington-New Castle Airport on Air Force One and spent about a day at their home near Greenville. It is the First Couple’s second weekend in Delaware in as many weeks.
