The Philadelphia Union and WSFS Bank recently announced a new multi-year partnership agreement that will make WSFS the official bank partner and community supporter of the Philadelphia Union major league soccer team and Subaru Park.
WSFS has been looking for ways to build its brand in the Delaware Valley and the major league soccer team was seen as a good fit given the growing popularity of the team, which has its stadium in Chester, PA and has been in the playoff hunt.
Other opportunities have been locked up with Lincoln Financial re-upping naming rights for the Philadelphia Eagles’ stadium and Citizens bank holding the same status with the Phllies home stadium until 2028. The Eagles have retained smaller Firstrust as the official bank of the team.
The agreement marks the first major sports partnership for WSFS, the largest locally headquartered bank and wealth franchise in Delaware and the Greater Philadelphia region.

Our shared commitment to creating opportunities for our communities to thrive make this an ideal partnership,” said Justin Dunn, chief marketing officer, WSFS Bank. “We know the power that sponsoring a major hometown sports team can offer a brand and we look forward to offering fans some special items like a co-branded debit card.”
The sponsorship includes community-focused events that benefit children, days of service and a community ticket donation program.
Also planned is “Small Business of the Match” program, co-branded debit card, and multiple enter-to-win sweepstakes In addition, WSFS will support Philadelphia Union Foundation initiatives that include the iAM Project and Chester High School soccer .
