The University of Delaware is offering a brewing certificate program.
Foundations of Brewing Science and Brewery Operations program.
The program is designed to give participants looking to gain entry into the beer industry, or moving to new roles practical knowledge of the complexities of the business.
The course will be taught by Brad Adelson, a veteran brewer whose resume includes Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, MI; Victory Brewing Company in Downingtown, PA; and 1937 Brewing Company in Delaware Park east of Newark. He is currently the brewmaster for Lost Planet Brewing Company in Royersford, PA.

The Foundations of Brewing Science and Brewery Operations class is being conducted live-online from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesdays for 10 weeks beginning Sept. 14.
