President Joe Biden has tested positive for Covid-19, multiple news outlets reported.

Also, US Sen. Carper, D-Delaware tested positive.

Symptoms are said to be mild, with the fully-vaccinated president to self-isolate at the White House.

The President and First Lady rarely spend weekends at the White House, splitting time between their Delaware Homes and presidential retreat at Camp David in the Maryland mountains.

Biden had been slated to fly to New Castle Airport on Thursday night for a long weekend at his home near Greenville. That schedule was changed along with trips to Wilkes Barre, PA and a fund-raiser in Philadelphia prior to the planned trip to Delaware.

Flight restrictions were canceled for northern Delaware and surrounding areas through Sunday.

“I received a positive Covid-19 test result today as part of regular weekly COVID-19 testing. Per CDC guidelines, I plan to isolate for five days and will closely monitor my symptoms until then,” Carper stated in a release. “I am grateful to be fully vaccinated and double boosted and I am thankfully feeling fine. I plan to work remotely while I self-isolate and look forward to fully recovering and getting back to the office as soon as it is safe for me to do so. I continue to urge all Delawareans to get vaccinated and boosted to protect yourselves and your families from the worst of this pandemic.”
