Bob’s Discount Furniture opened its second Delaware location in Dover. To celebrate the new location, the company will donate a total of $5,000 to a local school and volunteer fire department.
The opening comes as Bob’s celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The new 32,690 square foot Bob’s Discount Furniture is located at North Dover Center at 1061 DuPont Highway.
The addition of the Dover location brings the total number of stores to 143 across 22 states.
Bob’s is the 10th largest furniture store chain in the U.S. Ashley Homestore ranks No. 1, followed by Ikea. Raymour and Flanigan rank just behind Bob’s.
As part of the grand opening celebration, the Bob’s Outreach Team identified the Booker T Washington Elementary School and Dover’s fire department as community partners and will donate $5,000 combined to the two organizations.

Bob’s offers bedroom furniture, dining room furniture, office furniture, and home accents. In addition, all Bob’s locations offer cafes with coffee, ice cream, cookies, and candy.
Bob’s was founded in 1991 in Connecticut. The company is based in Manchester, CT.
