Minihane’s is back in downtown Elkton, MD.

The Irish pub/restaurant, which had been closed for a year,  re-emerged as Minihane’s1853 Land & Sea at the Main Street location that earlier operated as the Howard House.

The restaurant will initially be open Thursday through Sunday by reservation.

“Minihane’s “is a place that captures the beauty of a historic building and integrates a variety of classic cocktails, trendy draft beers, and a fine cuisine,” a social media post stated.

Dining in Cecil County has taken an upscale turn with the success of Prime 225, a steak-focused establishment in Chesapeake City.

As expected, Cecil County followed Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan’s decision to lift the outdoor mask mandate and end restrictions on outdoor dining.

Hogan’s decision came after the Centers for Disease Control advised that those fully vaccinated do not need to wear masks outdoors for most activities.

Colbie’s opening weeks away.

Colbie’s Southern Kissed Chicken is weeks away from opening, according to a Facebook post.  The fast-casual restaurant will open in Stanton-Christiana near a restaurant row of sorts that includes the Border Cafe, Greene Turtle, Eggspectations, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Colbie’s will focus on boneless chicken as well as southern favorites like hush puppies.

The fast-casual concept is being rolled out by the Colby Restaurant  Group, which operates Red Robin franchises and partnered with a celebrity chef Fabio Viviani on Chuck Lager-America’s Tavern, a Pike Creek restaurant.

The restaurant had been slated to open last year, but like most new stick-built establishments, faced Covid-19 delays.

The chicken boom has continued unabated in northern Delaware, with Chick-fil-A drawing long Ines of cars, with new locations in the works in New Castle, the Prices Corner area west of Wilmington and Newark.

Millsboro Texas Roadhouse opening in May

Coastal Point reports that a new Texas Roadhouse will open in the fast-growing Millsboro area in mid-May.

Coastal Point reported that the restaurant has been in the works for three years after the chain’s late founder visited Millsboro and like what he saw.

Texas Roadhouse has other locations in Bear, Middletown, Camden, and just across the line in Concordville, PA.
