The Wilmington Fire Department reported a fire caused heavy damage to a commercial building on Friday night.
Shortly after 7:35 p.m. Wilmington Firefighters were alerted to a commercial structure fire at 1027 W. 25th Street. The building has been used as an auto repair shop.
Fire department units found fire showing from the rear of a one story structure. The fire was under control by 8:10 p.m. with the building suffering heavy fire damage and significant smoke damage.

The Wilmington Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene and is investigating the blaze. Wilmington License & Inspections responded and deemed the property uninhabitable. There were no reports injuries.
