Child center at Dover Air Force Base temporarily closed due to coronavirus exposure

The Child Development Center at Dover Air Force Base will remain closed until Aug. 10 due to Covid-19. exposure.

The base reported the decision on its Facebook page.

“Those who were potentially exposed to Covid-19 have been notified and the threat of further exposure has been mitigated,” the announcement stated.

During this closing the center will be cleaned and industrially sanitized.

A caregiver forum to help educate CDC staff on Covid-19 precautions and mitigation techniques in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance will be conducted, the announcement stated.

The base had an early case of the virus, but has not reported any major outbreaks.
