A Wilmington Police investigation has resulted in the arrest of a 46-year-old man in connection with an embezzlement case that dates back to January.
On August 18, police were called to a business in the 900 block of Concord Avenue. Officers learned that an employee was seen completing sales and then voiding the transactions. He fled the store when being confronted by a supervisor.
It was determined that the employee, Brian Pow, 46, of Bear, had stolen more than $42,000 from the business over eight months.
Pow was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with the following offenses:
- Theft Over $1,500 (Eight Counts)
- Falsifying Business Records
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and released on $9,000 unsecured bail.
