Lidl will hold a public hiring event for warehouse associate positions at Cecil County regional headquarters, and distribution center near Perryville.
The event will be held on September 5, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. This hiring event will be the first of many as Lidl looks to hire more than 200 employees for its Cecil County distribution center.
Salaries for warehouse associates start at $15 per hour, plus benefits, which can include health, dental and vision plans, a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match and the potential for performance bonuses.
Accepted candidates will become members of the Lidl logistics team and will support new store openings in 2020 and beyond.
The warehouse had stayed largely idle in the past year or so as Lidl worked updated its expansion program and tweaked square footages for stores. The company has since acquired a small Long Island grocery and according to published reports will add stores in Dover and Bear in coming years.
The company’s lone Delaware store is in Dover.
Lidl operates 10,800 stores in 29 countries, employing around 287,000 employees globally.
Also hiring in Delaware is DOT Foods. The Illinois company is looking for warehouse workers and truck drivers for its Bear center, which is now under construction.
