IncNow, Wilmington, is now certified as a B Corporation.
John Legaré Williams, Esq., president of IncNow stated, “It’s one thing to say your company does good for the community. It’s entirely another to have a recognized third-party certify this.” B Lab out of Berwyn, PA has the exclusive ability to certify B Corps around the world.
Certification includes an eight month evaluation required to prove that a board of directors is balancing profit and purpose. B Lab reviews those commitments every three years to re-certify and prove that B Corps have the following priorities: (1) good corporate governance, (2) interest of their workers, (3) community engagement, and (4) environmental impact.
The B Corp Community, includes Ben & Jerry’s and Patagonia.

According to Williams, IncNow also amended its corporate charter to provide the specific public benefit purpose of the corporation, “to support the environment, education, entrepreneurship, and the arts in the greater Delaware Valley and promote a vibrant and healthy workplace utilizing funds not to exceed five percent of the Corporation’s annual gross profits.”
IncNow’s Overall Impact Score of 85 exceeds that of brands including: C.F. Martin & Co., Inc. guitars of Pennsylvania, Kickstarter and DANONE Waters of America, Inc. in New York.
IncNow provides financial and volunteer contributions to improve local watersheds, youth education and to promote entrepreneurship mentoring in Delaware and the healthy well-being of its workers.
