Federal Communications Commission Chairman to visit Delaware


Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai will bring what is billed as his Digital Opportunity Tour to Wilmington and Seaford on Friday.

In Wilmington, Papi will visit NextFAB, a downtown Wilmington makerspace focused on technology alongside traditional tools. He will also visit Wilmington Hospital to learn more about their efforts to deliver services using telemedicine.

Pai will also visit a Bloosurf 4G-LTE tower site located at the Seaford Police Department and 911 center.

Pai is on a two-day tour of New Jersey and Delaware According to a release, Paihas made bridging the digital divide in rural America as the top priority of the FCC.

The State of Delaware is also working to bring broadband wireless to areas of the state that do not have high-speed access.
