Bella Coast  on Concord Pike in Talleyville will close later this month for a few days and open as the northern outpost of Sussex County’s Touch of Italy.

The restaurant announced the new name on the Bella Coast’s Facebook page. Touch of Italy has three locations in Sussex County and a fourth outpost in Ocean City,  MD.

It had earlier been announced that current owner Big Fish Group would sell the restaurant to the owner of Touch of Italy, a small group of restaurants in Sussex County.

Touch of Italy will offer items from its menu along with some favorites from Bella Coast.

Big Fish, which also has its roots in Sussex County, has been busy in New Castle County after acquiring Mikimoto’s and Washington Ale House restaurants in Wilmington and reopening a coffee shop at the site of the restaurnats near Wilmington Hospital.

Big Fish is also a co-developer of a hotel on the Wilmington Riverfont adjacent to its Big Fish Grill.

Touch of Italy had tentative plans to expand to New Castle County, with one report indicating that a restaurant would open in Stanton.

That did not happen as plans were announced to acquire Bella Coast.
