WHYY reported that Delaware will work to dissolve the incorporation of Backpage.com. The online classified site, linked to human trafficking was seized and shut down by federal officials.
The company earlier this year pleaded guilty to the trafficking charges.
The seizure brought into focus the issue of the state’s lack of oversight of limited liability companies. The state has contended that a national law is needed on disclosure. Otherwise, incorporations will move to other states. Click on the link below for the story.
