Tiara Schneider, 27 of Ellendale,  was arrested by Milford Police on charges stemming from a  theft case at an area business.

In late November of last year,  officers were dispatched to a local business. The investigation revealed that the business had been audited and the reports showed that they were short several hundred dollars of product.

The investigation revealed that management reviewed the surveillance footage. Management reportedly  observed Schneider conducting transactions where she would select an option on the cash register that opened the register and then would set the customer’s money to the side and give change from the register.

Then Schneider would allegedly place the customer’s money in her pocket or a bag. Management also claimed that Schneider also  stole merchandise from the store.

On June 1,  Schneider was charged with Theft Under $1,500. It was also learned that Schneider had several active court capiases for her arrest.

She had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 3. Schneider received a $500.00 unsecured bail and no contact order with her previous employer, but was taken to the Department of Corrections in default of $690  secured bail for the outstanding capiases.

She was ordered to appear at a later date in Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
