A troubled southern grocery chain has filed for a prepackaged Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in Delaware.

Southeastern Grocers announced earlier this month announced a restructuring agreement with creditors holding about 80 percent of its debt notes. The company is based in Jacksonville, FL.

Under the plan, the company will have more than 580 stores operating under the BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie banners. The company is closing more than 90 stores.

Delaware is a popular venue for prepackaged bankruptcy filings of mid-sized companies like Southeastern.

Winn-Dixie is a well-known grocer in the south and was a part of Because of Winn-Dixie,  a movie and musical about a dog that was found at the store. The musical was performed at the Delaware Theatre Co.
