Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a New Castle area gas station on Sunday night.
Two male suspects entered the Valero at 891 S. DuPont Highway, New Castle.
Witnesses said one suspect, armed with a handgun, confronted the male clerk who was working at the time. The second suspect, who was armed with a knife, stood watch over a female who was also inside of the store.
They demanded money from the cash register. The employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money.Both suspects then fled from the business and were last seen exiting the parking lot in a white unknown make and model vehicle. There were no injuries.
The first suspect was described as a white male. He was 5’-8”- 6’ tall and was last seen wearing a black jacket, dark colored sweatpants, white sneakers, a black mask. He was armed with a handgun.
The second suspect was also described as a white male. He was 5’08”-5’10” tall and was last seen wearing a brown hooded jacket, cargo pants, white sneakers, and had a mask covering his face. He was also armed with a knife.
There is no further physical or clothing description available. No video surveillance photos are available at this time.
