Weather forces postponement of Wilmington U graduation

image004Wilmington University commencement for over 1,500 graduating students has been postponed by the university until February 7.

Cited was severe winter weather and the level 2 state of emergency declared by Governor Jack Markell earlier in the day on Saturday.

The ceremonies will take place at the Chase Center on the Wilmington Riverfront, on that date.

The class of 2016 is part of a total Wilmington University enrollment of more than 20,000 students.

Wilmington University is a private, nonprofit institution.
