legislative hall morningDeclines  in current fiscal year revenue continue to plague state budget writers, though not as severely according to the latest state revenue forecast.

The Delaware Economic and Financial Advisory Council (DEFAC) projects a $37.1 million 2015 budget hole to fill despite the state trimming $20 million in current year spending.

This latest news gives lawmakers a $3.2 million dollar reprieve over DEFAC’s March report.

State Budget Director Ann Visalli says the cuts already made came from many different parts of the state budget.
