Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County has selected Wohlsen Construction to receive Goodwill’s Workforce Partnership Award as Employer of the Year.
The award will be presented at Goodwill’s Inspiration Awards Luncheon to be held on Friday, May 2nd at the Chase Center on the Riverfront. The Goodwill Workforce Partnership Award is given to a business, company or organization that has supported the mission of Goodwill and has offered training, employment or job placements.
Wohlsen Construction—with offices in New Castle, Del. Lancaster and Harrisburg, Pa., Baltimore, and Parsippany, N.J.—is a leading provider of construction services in the region.
Wohlsen is being recognized for its support of the construction labor and site cleanup businesses that are part of Goodwill’s Industrial Services division. Over the last two years, Wohlsen has contracted Goodwill to provide general construction labor and site cleanup services at several sites including Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, the Christiana Care Health Center in Concord Township, Pennsylvania, the Hearth at Drexel in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania and the new Community Education Building in Wilmington.
The work completed for Wohlsen has employed a team of 12 to 18 employees and has generated over $150,000 in revenue to Goodwill.
