Over the past four years, the Delaware Museum of Natural History has been the recipient of nearly $500,000 in Grow Up Great with Science grants from the PNC Foundation and PNC Bank in support of the museum’s pre-school teacher training program, Seeing Science Everywhere.

“I can’t think of a more deserving corporate partner for this award than PNC,” said Halsey Spruance, executive director of the Delaware Museum of Natural History.  “Their commitment over the last four years has allowed us to expand science education in the classroom and equip teachers with the necessary tools to deliver science content in ways young children can understand and enjoy.”

PNC Grow Up Great is a $350 million, multi-ear, bilingual early education initiative that began in 2004. To date, the program has served more than 1.75 million children.

“PNC is honored to be recognized for our support of science education initiatives with the Delaware Museum of Natural History,” said Nick Marsini, PNC regional president in Delaware. “Our focus on science education is a strategic investment to prepare our youngest learners for educational success and help build a solid foundation for the future of our region.”
