TekSolv announced Monday that acquired Crawford Technical Services, based in Hershey. The company’s businesses include water monitoring and shale gas systems engineering.

This is a strategic acquisition for TekSolv and of mutual benefit for both companies.  We are receiving tremendous talent, technology, and expanding our product and service portfolio that will strengthen opportunities with our customers and drive our business forward,” stated John Mouser, TekSolv president.

For the past year, TekSolv and Crawford have been strategic partners in the creation of TekNet, a data network used in oil fields, a release stated.

The system features monitoring and control systems, gas detectors and alarms, and advanced communications. TekNet uses Internet and smart phone capabilities to alert authorized personnel of impending hazards through alarms, email and text messaging.
