The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a fire Friday night that heavily damaged a New Castle car dealership.
The blaze, reported shortly before midnight, was reported at Tenancingo Auto’s, 149 South DuPont Highway, Midvale. The Wilmington Manor Fire Company arrived on the scene with flames coming from the one story building.
State fire marshal investigators were called to the scene. The investigation continues into the fire’s origin and cause. The building was not open and was unoccupied when the fire was discovered by a passing motorist.
Damage was estimated at $50,000. There were no reported injuries.
