Nurse Next Door, a fast-growing senior home care provider, has opened a locally owned and operated location in Dover servicing Kent, Sussex and New Castle counties.

The new Nurse Next Door office is owned by Registered Nurse Tiffany Rubin. With her husband serving in active duty in the Air Force and her family getting older, Rubin says she knows firsthand the challenges families are facing: juggling careers, personal lives and care needs of aging relatives.

The new local business will address the health care needs of local seniors and help to alleviate the burden placed on existing care options by providing care from the comfort of seniors’ homes, according to a release.

I see families coping with the pressures of raising kids, balancing careers and now caring for aging family members. Our services will help daughters be daughters again,” says Rubin.“Our focus right now is to educate local families and show them that there is an affordable, amazing option to keep their loved ones healthy and happy at home.” With more seniors choosing to age at home for as long as possible, Nurse Next Door will address the sharp increase in demand for home care services in Delaware and provide a viable alternative to long-term care facilities. “What sets our services apart is that we understand it’s about caring and not just health care,” says Rubin. “We want seniors to dream again and help get them back to doing the things they love.”

Nurse Next Door’s new Delaware office provides a full spectrum of medical and non-medical in-home care. Services range from three hours-per-week of companionship to around-the-clock care. Nurse Next Door has also launched a new daily call program called Shout Out for those that may not feel like they need care, but want a live person to check in on them daily.
