3 arrested in connection with sales of counterfeit merchandise

Delaware State Police concluded an investigation into the sales of counterfeit items from a Laurel, Del. Cell phone store by charging three Maryland men and seizing more than $100,000 in counterfeit merchandise.

On Friday, the Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at the Source 1 Wireless business at 11457 Commercial Lane.

Zarar Shauket, 28, of Delmar; Eitezaz Shauket, 32, of Salisbury; and Shane McAllister, 20, Delmar were taken into custody inside of the business without incident.

In addition, 1,252 items, valued over $100,000 were found to be counterfeit and seized. The merchandise seized consisted of brand named merchandise including Polo, Coach, Louis Vutton, Gucci, Reebok, Tory Birch, as well as NBA and NFL sports jerseys. Also discovered during the search was 16 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Troopers also seized $1,468.00 in cash proceeds from the business.

All three were charged, arraigned and released on unsecured bond.Troopers continue to investigate this case.
