FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THIRD-ANNUAL FASHION SHOW PLANNED BY GOODWILL

Wilmington, DE, February 7,2013 – For the third year in a row, the stylish clothing and accessories that can be found at Goodwill stores will be showcased during a runway fashion show to be held on Friday, February 22nd, 2013.

Growing larger every year, this dynamic event will combine music, models, fashion, food, drinks and of course, Goodwill! The show will feature the musical styling of Beth Goldwater and a second-hand chic boutique with one-of-a-kind, name brand items hand-picked by our stylists. The Goodwill Boutique will be open for shopping from 6 – 7 p.m. and at the conclusion of the show. Those purchasing one of a limited number of VIP tickets can start shopping 45 minutes (at 5:15 PM) before general admission begins.

Hair and make-up designs for the models will be provided by Paul Mitchell the School, with runway music provided by Leon Barton Multimedia. The models in the show include Goodwill employees, prominent community leaders and social media followers of Goodwill who responded to an online casting request. General admission tickets are $35 per person and VIP tickets are $50 and can be purchased at www.goodwillde.org.

VIP tickets include reserved seating and early admission to the boutique. Proceeds of the fashion show and boutique sales will benefit the Ted Van Name Goodwill Scholarship Fund.

“This event gets bigger and better every year and is a lot of fun,” said Susan Murray, vicepresident of sales and operations for Goodwill. “It also gives us an opportunity to dispel the myth that the clothes found at Goodwill are old and out-of-style.”
