The Delaware State Police arrested Richard Boyd, 55, of Greenwood this week in connection with the left of 40-foot utility polls.
Earlier in the month, troopers were called to a residence in Ellendale. Upon arrival, troopers talked with the 73-year-old homeowner and learned that two 40-foot light poles were stolen from his property. Boyd was determined to be the suspect.
Troopers were notified by Georgetown Probation and Parole that Boyd was in their custody. Boyd was turned over to troopers and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged.
Boyd was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
