A Chinese electric bicycle manufacturing is leasing 109,000 square feet in the Upper Chesapeake Business Center near the Delaware state on the east edge of Elkton MD.

MetalRays will occupy a portion of the 263,500 building nearing completion. The developer is Wilmington-based McConnell Development,

The space will be used for warehousing by the company that makes a line of electric bikes. The company currently has a small site in Delaware.

Ned Brady and Eric Skogmo of Lee & Associates represented the tenant and Michael McConnell of McConnell Development represented the landlord in this transaction.

The Upper Chesapeake Business Center has seen a surge of activity in recent years as demand for warehousing inceases in the region.

The center is also the home for Cecil County government operations.

Demand for electric bicycles has soared in the US in recent years.
