Kitchen Collective announces events featuring food entrepreneurs

On May 4th, Riverfront Ministries, in partnership with Wilmington Alliance, Grace United Methodist and First & Central Presbyterian Church, announced the addition of nine food entrepreneurs who will use its commercial kitchen facilities. 

The Kitchen Collective is a community-based project dedicated to serving food Entrepreneurs from marginalized local communities.

Through partnerships with the Launcher DE, the Small Business Development Center, and other community partners, the collective has guided small food-based businesses in its first cohort through needed certifications to operate within state regulations and develop their business plans with an eye on growth and sustainability.

On May 4, live music and light bites featuring cuisine from the Kitchen Collective’s newest food entrepreneurs will be offered at the Grace Church parking lot. The public is invited to take a guided tour of the kitchen. Tickets to this year’s event are $15 online or $20 at the door.

This event kicks off WKC’s Taste & See season, where each Thursday through October will find one or two members selling lunches and desserts.All are welcome to purchase lunch between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and enjoy the occasional live music performances of local artists. Weather permitting, tables and chairs will be set up.
