62-year-old arrested in connection with Wilmington area business burglaries

Delaware State Police have arrested 62-year-old William Davis of Wilmington on numerous charges following burglary investigations at various businesses in the north Wilmington area in early March.

Beginning on Tuesday, March 7, at 10:47 p.m., through Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at approximately 12:26 a.m., State Police investigated a series of burglaries to various businesses along Philadelphia Pike and Concord Pike.

The suspect made forced entry into four businesses by smashing the front glass door or window.  Also the same suspect on March 12 at 2 a.m. an individual made forced entry through the front door to the Cricket Wireless at 622 South Maryland Avenue, Wilmington, and removed merchandise.

Troopers determined William Davis was the suspect in the five commercial burglaries.

On April 6 Davis was seen by troopers leaving his residence in Wilmington and was taken into custody without incident. Subsequently, troopers executed a search warrant at Davis’s residence which led to the discovery of items connected to the burglaries.

Davis was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court # 2 and released on his recognizance.
