The Milford-based Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships has acquired Porter Nissan, Porter Infiniti and Porter Auto Body West on Newark’s auto row.
“After 22 years of providing automotive services to our community and careers to our loyal and hardworking employees, we have decided to hand over the reins to the Hertrich Auto Group. It was a pleasure and we are truly humbled, thank you,” Porter stated.
Hertrich is believed to be the largest dealership group in Delaware as family-owned single dealerships become fewer. Earlier, Milford-based i.g. Burton purchased Newark Jeep, Dodge Ram on Cleveland Avenue.
The Porter locations will now operate under the names Hertrich Nissan of Newark, Hertrich Infiniti of Newark and Hertrich Collision Center of Newark.These additions mark 24 dealerships, 10 collision centers and 20 brands represented by the Hertrich family.

This acquisition brings the second Hertrich Nissan location, the first Hertrich Infiniti location and the first set of Hertrich locations in Newark.
In addition, the Hertrich Collision Center of Newark is the fifth collision center to join the Hertrich Family in just over a year and the 10th Hertrich collision center in total.
