Effective Saturday, May 28 at 12:01 a.m., the following will apply at the state’s largest hospital system.

  • Hospitalized patients at Christiana, Wilmington and Union hospitals may have one visitor at a time between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Visitors will be screened for Covid-19 upon arrival.
  • Patients at outpatient practices and ambulatory services may have one support person. Support persons will be screened for Covid-19 on arrival.
  • Visitors must remain masked at all times in ChristianaCare facilities, even if they are vaccinated or have a negative Covid-19 test. This includes remaining masked in patient rooms while visiting. This policy was in place before the uptick in Covid cases.
