Arson cause of Miller’s Ale House fire

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office has determined that the November 24th  fire at the Miller’s Ale House, Christiana, was intentionally set.

 State fire investigators are conducting a criminal investigation in attempting to find those responsible. 

A surveillance camera caught the suspect on the property near the ChristianaCare Newark Campus before and during the fire in the early morning hours.

The sports bar-restaurant opened on Tuesday after being closed for two weeks for repairs. The fire was apparently set outside the building and caused heavy damage to the entrance. Damage was estimated at $50,000.

Final repairs to the entrance are continuing.
