The Sunday  Covid-19 summary from the Delaware Division of Public Health reported  no new deaths on Sunday after recording  11  deaths a day earlier.

Of the 11 who died, five were residents of Kent County, four were from Sussex County, and two resided in  New Castle County. They ranged in age from their 50s to their 90s.

All but one of the 11 had underlying health conditions, and one was a resident of a long-term care facility. Six were fully vaccinated, and five were not vaccinated. Seven-day averages have shown about seven in 10 deaths are from people who were not vaccinated or not fully vaccinated.

The fatalities increased Delaware’s total number of Covid-related deaths to 2,032.

Deaths and cases have remained elevated as the faster-spreading Delta variant took hold after a late spring and early summer decline.
