20+ Delaware companies make the Inc.5000 list

 

Eight of the 20-plus Delaware companies have appeared on the list before.

 

One company,  Newark-based Placers, appeared on early lists but was later sold. The son of the founder of Placers later renamed his employment services company Placers, with the new company making the list more than once.

 

Whole9yards offers items through Amazon and other outlets. The company ranked 38th on the list.

 

The list of fast-growing privately held companies in Delaware accounted for a median of  208% sales growth, $301 million in total revenue, and 1,150 jobs added.

 

The annual list started out with 500 fast-growing companies but was later expanded to 5,000.

 

Companies on the list cannot have publicly traded stock.
