The City of Milford is telling residents that a staff shortage is affecting service response times.

According to a release, the city has vacancies in various departments, including electric, public works, parks, and police.

A release from the city pointed to delays in trash, recycling, and yard waste collection. Days of collection will not change, but times might vary. In addition, electric outages may take longer to restore.

“We are working diligently and taking aggressive measures to fill staff vacancies in the city,” stated City Manager Mark Whitfield. “City employees take pride in delivering excellent customer service. However, limited staff has made it challenging to maintain that level of service. We are asking for citizens’ patience during this time.”

Residents are asked to check out online services offered by the city with links available through its website.
