President-elect Joe Biden gave an emotional speech prior to departing from New Castle Airport.
The Greenville resident and former Vice President made the remarks at the National Guard Center named in honor of his son, National Guard member and former Attorney General, Beau Biden.

Biden operated a transition headquarters at at the Queen Theater in downtown Wilmington, announcing cabinet members and other key players.
He will arrive in a Washington, DC that is being patrolled by 25,000 Guard members. The stepped up presence came after an attack on the Capitol following a rally that focused on unsubstantiated charges of election fraud. Among the speakers was outgoing President Donald Trump.
